Assen - Witnessed directly from the Circuit Assen on Saturday (25/06/2011), Spies who started the race in second position with a well managed to start and maintain that position.
The series of three consecutive wins in Assen Casey Stoner ends. In the Dutch MotoGP race, the Honda rider was only finish in second place behind Yamaha rider Ben Spies.
Spies teammate, Jorge Lorenzo, even better start again with a step on the gas from the fourth position to the forefront. However, he had lost that position after taking part along with Marco Simoncelli fell off the pole winner.
Spies used the incident which took over the leading position and continues to lead the race to the bottom. Stoner could only shadows of a position sufficiently far in the second position, with Andrea Dovizioso of Honda finished third.
Race itself runs in dry conditions, although the clouds seen at the start. About 20 minutes before the race began, drizzle also briefly addressed the track.
Thus, the ending is a series that debuted Stoner wins in three final series. Spies finished off by registering his first victory in MotoGP.
