Copa America history
Copa América is the main football competition which was followed by the countries of CONMEBOL. The competition is generally held every two years, although the interval can be changed and had occurred in 1959 in the implementation of the Copa America are held twice a year. Start the 2007 Copa America championship held every four years and re-organized in 2011.


 Since 1993 to enliven the implementation of the Copa América, the state of the confederation CONMEBOL invite others to be able to compete in the Copa América. Copa América soccer championship is among the oldest countries in the world beyond the World Cup, the championship was originally organized to enliven the anniversary of Argentine independence in 1916.
